Movember - Almost Done

Tomorrow is the final day of Movember, and it's been an interesting month.

I've started to get used to the feeling of my facial hair tickling the sides of my coffee mug, people telling me I look old, and feeling the wind flow through my long blonde locks... on my lip.

As fun as it has been, I think tomorrow night when midnight hits the "mo" will meet its untimely demise.

Movember - One Week To Go

One week to go and then I can shave this mustache off!

I thought it would be fun to grow a "mo" when November showed up on the calendar, but the itchiness, weird looks, lack of kisses from my wife, and the fact I'm a messy eater has be rethinking the long-term validity of the lip sweater.

It's been a fun experience, but I think when December hits my lip will find itself naked once again.

(This proves blonde people should not grow facial hair)

Movember Update - Nov 21

Monday, November 21 and I'm starting to find the mo a little irritating. As a guy who has never grown facial hair before (and now you see why) this is going to take some getting used to.

I take a sip of coffee and it tickles the edges of the cup.
My cereal gets stuck in it.
My father-in-law says I look like I should be coming to your house to turn your cable back on.

What do you think? Should I keep it come December 1?

Mat Kearney

I had the chance to head down to Toronto last night to see Mat Kearney play the Opera House, (maybe my favourite venue), and it was as good as expected.

His new album is a return to some of the spoken word stylings that endeared him to me, so I was anxious to see him perform some of the new material live. It was a great night, with some great friends.

Here's a sample of the awesomeness that was Mat Kearney, courtesy of Allie Spencer

Growing The Mo

I'm starting to think Movember was created as an excuse for blonde-haired people to grow facial hair. I have yet to see a blonde moustache that looks good, so why would anyone do it?

To raise money for a good cause of course!

So I've thrown my hat into the ring. I'm going to grow facial hair, and even though the blonde teen-stache is more likely to have parents hiding their children than applauding, I plan to keep it until the end of the month.

Feel free to send some encouraging words this way and support the Mo HERE.
